First time here. Food was pretty good and portion sizes were generous. We had the 1/2 chicken and BBQ plates. Thought the price was good too. Both bbq & chicken were flavorful and moist. The slaw was different. The hush puppies basket provided with our meals was very full and they were god too. They also brought the cutest personal tea pitchers for refills. Service was quick & friendly. The place was packed at nearly 2 PM on a Sunday.

Stopped in for lunch while traveling through Shelby. We found good food, great attentive service and a very lively atmosphere during the lunch hour. Flavoring of their food is specific to the Region, and while not my specific pick was good overall.

First time ever for my friend from Minnesota. She loved the pulled pork but questioned the BBQ slaw. I told her: It's an acquired taste. It's the blending of the flavors that hooks you. Why else would faithful customers drive for hours one way just to get their Pulled Pork fix? Whenever I'm in town I have to go.

Red Bridges Barbecue Lodge is a true Carolina classic! The barbecue has that authentic, smoky flavor that keeps people coming back, and the hush puppies are always a favorite. The portions are generous and satisfying, and the prices are fair for the quality you get. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience feel like a family tradition. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that it can get really busy, which sometimes means a bit of a wait—but honestly, that just shows how loved this place is. Definitely worth a stop if you’re anywhere near Shelby!

I grew up 15 minutes away, so I’ve been eating here all of my life. It’s been a while since I’ve been for a visit, though, but it did not disappoint. The food was fresh, homemade, and just as delicious as I remember. I’ll definitely be back soon.

I was visiting a friend in Shelby and as I was passing by saw the sign for BBQ. I was impressed by the service I received they were kind welcoming and I don't believe I ever had an empty drink the whole time I was there. The BBQ is true NC BBQ vinegar based and savory.the slaw was lacking and the beans were beans but the hushpuppies were delicious and the texture was amazing. I also had some banana pudding which was great but it wasn't the best pudding I've had. Overall I enjoyed my visit and if I'm ever near here again I'll definitely stop by again for the BBQ alone also they have deviled egg sandwhiches I wonder how those taste?

Great food, service, and atmosphere. Our food was prepared quickly. Our server was very friendly. Each thing we ordered was delicious. I bought sauce to take back home to the Midwest. Don’t forget to order some banana pudding for dessert!
